Precautions for Deep Groove Ball Bearings

Feb 06, 2026 Leave a message

Depth groove ball bearings, if subjected to insufficient load during operation, can cause slippage between the balls and raceways, leading to scuffing. This is especially true for large deep groove ball bearings with heavy balls and cages. In many cases, bearings will corrode. The causes of bearing corrosion are numerous, but the most common factors in daily life include:

1) Poor sealing, allowing moisture and dirt to enter;

2) Bearings not being used for extended periods, exceeding their rust-prevention period, and lack of maintenance;

3) High surface roughness of the metal;

4) Contact with corrosive chemical media, inadequate bearing cleaning, surface contamination, contact with sweaty hands, failure to promptly package or install the bearing after cleaning, and prolonged exposure to air moisture and contamination;

5) Ambient temperature and humidity, contact with various environmental media; ineffective or substandard rust inhibitors.
