Self-aligning ball bearings with cylindrical bore are double-row radial bearings built with two sets of steel balls and a spherical outer raceway. This structure allows the bearing to automatically adjust its position, accommodating angular errors between the shaft and housing, shaft deflection, and mounting misalignment that often occurs in real-world equipment operation.
Among all rolling bearings, self-aligning ball bearings generate the lowest friction, resulting in minimal temperature rise even when running at relatively high speeds.

12 Series

Compact and lightweight, ideal for high-speed small machines with limited installation space.

Clearance & Cage Options

 

ZWZ standard self-aligning ball bearings are produced with internal clearances conforming to GB4604, including C2, CN (normal), C3, C4 and C5. Custom clearances above or below standard levels are also available upon request.

 

Cage designs include pressed steel cages, brass machined cages and nylon (polyamide) cages:

● For bearings with outer diameter D ≤ 200 mm, pressed steel cages are used as standard

● For bearings with outer diameter D > 200 mm, brass machined cages are applied

● Nylon cages can withstand operating temperatures up to 120°C

● For continuous high-temperature or severe working conditions, brass machined cages are recommended
